Questions about renewal automation

What does Salesforce renewal automation do?

It builds each renewal on Salesforce Revenue Cloud from the assets a customer owns rather than from a spreadsheet: rules set the dates, uplifts and terms for the next period, and an agent assembles the renewal package.

How does co-terming work in Revenue Cloud?

Co-terming aligns a mid-term change with the contract end date. When a customer adds seats, Revenue Cloud prices them for the remainder of the term with the same pricing procedures as the original deal, so the whole contract renews on one date and the renewal quote already reflects every change.

Can renewals use consumption data?

Yes. Commitments, drawdowns and overage reach the account team before the renewal conversation, and wallets and balances show the customer what has been used, so the renewal begins from facts both parties can see rather than from an estimate.

Does a person still review each renewal?

Yes. An agent assembles the renewal package and a person reviews it before it goes to the customer, so people keep the decisions on price and terms while the agent does the assembly. The rules that set dates and uplifts remain in the hands of the business.

Questions on usage and the install base

Can customers see their own usage during the term?

Yes. Wallets, balances, rollover and refresh policies make consumption visible to the customer throughout the term, so usage never arrives as a surprise on the invoice and both sides work from one set of figures.

What does the install base show each team?

It shows what each customer owns and is entitled to, and account, support and billing teams all read it. Entitlements and cases are aligned with the install base, so support sees the assets that billing invoices and that the renewal starts from. Each invoice line traces to the order and the quote, and disputes are handled as service requests.
